A short set of terms for the site you are reading. They are meant to be read, so we have kept them plain.
Who the site is for and what happens at the house
Age limit
This website and the felt room at the venue it describes are for adults aged eighteen and over. By using the site you confirm that you meet this requirement. We may ask for proof of age at the door, and anyone who cannot provide it will not be admitted to the felt room. Younger guests may eat in the dining room with an adult until seven, but they may not use the booking forms to reserve a seat at the tables.
Chips with no value
Every game described here is played with chips that have no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged or redeemed, and no part of the evening involves wagering, entry fees or prizes. A tournament winner receives an announcement and a name on the board, and nothing else. No gift cards, vouchers or privileges are attached to any result, and no seat or table is ever promised as a reward.
Offline only
Nothing described on this site can be played online. There is no app, no remote table and no registration for play through the website. The forms ask for details so we can arrange a table or a seat in the building on Mitchell Street, and for no other purpose. If anyone contacts you claiming to offer play in our name, please tell us at once.
Our content, other sites and the law
Texts and photographs
The words, photographs and layout on this website belong to the venue or are used with permission. You may read them, print a page for your own use and share a link, but please do not copy them for another site or for a commercial purpose without asking us first. If you would like to use a photograph, ask at the front desk and we will tell you who took it.
Links to other sites
The contact page includes an embedded map from a third-party provider, and the odd page may link elsewhere. We do not control those sites and cannot promise their content or their handling of your information. Please read their own terms before relying on them. A link is never an endorsement, and we may remove any link without notice if it stops being useful.
Our responsibility
We take care to keep opening hours, menus and programs accurate, but they can change without notice, and the website is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on it. Nothing here limits any rights you hold under consumer law. If you spot a mistake in the opening hours, the menu or the program, please tell us and we will correct it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Australian law. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of New South Wales, and if you have a complaint about your visit or the website, please write to the booking address in the footer first. We read every message and would rather settle things with a conversation. Complaints are answered personally, usually within a few working days.
